Tribute to Verisys Corporation’s Working Mothers

Throughout history women have always worked in some capacity whether supporting the households and communities in which they live or working outside the home for an income, their contributions are far-reaching.

With 25% of our workforce comprised of working mothers, we make it clear to all of our staff that having flexibility to adjust one’s schedule around family needs is something we fully support at Verisys.

“As a working mother of a child with a disability, my first concern when looking for a job is flexibility. Verisys has given me that peace of mind and has been accommodating with my schedule,” says Christine Montgomery, Verification Specialist – Mentor, “I’m grateful I can care for my family’s needs, as well as focus on my work and grow within the company.”

Amy Andersen, VP of Operations, shared the following: “I’ve worked for Verisys for more than five years. I’ve held a number of different roles within the company, and in all of that time and in all of those roles, I have also held the role of a working mom. In my entire career, I’ve never worked for a company that is more supportive of that shared role. I get asked ‘how do you do it all?’ pretty regularly, and the answer is that I work for a company that lets me do it all. I can work early in the morning before my kids wake up, or late at night after they go to sleep. I take my kids to the dentist and doctor, go to sporting events, and help in their classes on holidays. I get to do all of the things that I want to do as a parent and be there for my kids with a supportive leadership team that enables me to be successful at home and at work. A company that supports my life outside of work as much as they support my life while at work is a company to be loyal to. I’m lucky to work at Verisys!”
