Verisys CRO, Valerie Mondelli, attends the Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) Southeast Year of the Youth Gala, to recognize this year’s nominated teens

Our very own Chief Revenue Officer, Valerie Mondelli, attended the National Youth of the Year Gala in support of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, a cause very dear to her heart. [pictured: Valerie Mondelli with Jill Robinson, CFO of the Atlanta Braves] Valerie has served on the BGCA Board of Trustees for the past 3 years and loves to support the local Club in her community. “Becoming the National Youth of the Year is an exciting and inspiring journey” says Valerie, “These amazing young teens represent the voice and spirit of hope for America”.

For more than 100 years, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America have supported over 4 million youth across the country at their 4200 clubs. These clubs and their volunteers serve to give our youth a safe and inclusive environment where youth are encouraged to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Each year, the National Youth of the Year program honors and celebrates the nation’s most inspiring teens and their incredible journeys. Stories of outstanding leadership, service, academic excellence, and dedication to living a healthy lifestyle have made the National Youth of the Year America’s premier leadership and recognition program for youth. The youth granted this honor is a role model, leader, and advocate serving as an ambassador and as a voice for all of our nation’s young people.

Verisys National Sales Director, Phil Smakula, gives of his time, his means, and most importantly his heart to Camp PARC summer camps

Camp PARC is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization that provides resident summer camps for special needs youth and adults. This year is the Camp’s 60^th Anniversary and the current Executive Directors have been involved for the past 54 years. This speaks volumes about their passion and dedication to providing outdoor adventures for the mentally and physically challenged individuals who attend summer camp each year.

Phil Smakula first got involved with Camp PARC in the early 1980’s as a Junior Counselor and over the years has financially supported the organization. About 5 years ago Phil became more active with volunteering at the camps both in setup preparations and volunteering daily while camp is in session. Phil loves that at camp everyone is made to feel like equals and that friendship and compassion are always present. Phil has been on the Board of Trustees for the past 2 years and helps chair the Fundraising Committee.
